Opening streets to people is a wonderful to enliven any city. Next Friday, July 29th, The Urbanist and BoPOP (Bothellites for People Orientated Places) are meeting up to enjoy the pedestrianized stretch of Bothell’s Main Street, which will be expanded as part of its Summer Nights in Bothell event series. Bothell Mayor Mason Thompson and architect, urban infill developer, and founder of BoPOP Cary Westerbeck will both be in attendance.
We’ll meet in front of Bothell City Hall around 6:30pm and then make our way over to the main event area. You can expect lots of lively conversation about the dynamic growth occurring in Downtown Bothell, as well as music and cultural performances by groups affiliated with Centro Cultural Mexicano, which is sponsoring the event in partnership with the City of Bothell.
This will be a casual, social event aimed at helping people interested in improving the cities connect and have fun. While an RSVP is not required, sending one will be helpful for organizing purposes. We hope you can join us!
