Liveable Kirkland would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, October 1, 2022 for a short walk through Park Lane (Downtown Kirkland) and the surrounding areas. Event details are available on Meetup and Facebook.
We’ll gather at Kirkland’s Marina Park Pavilion at 5:15pm for a few introductory remarks. At 5:30pm sharp we’ll start our walk down Park Lane, while it is open to vehicle traffic, proceeding past the Transit Center to Peter Kirk Park. We will then walk back to Park Lane, which will be closed to vehicle traffic when we return.
Afterward, we’re planning on having some drinks and discussion at an outdoor table at one of the restaurants on Park Lane.
The purpose of this walk is to observe the differences between when Park Lane is open versus closed to vehicle traffic and to facilitate some discussion of the role that Park Lane can play in completing a pedestrian corridor from Kirkland Urban to the Marina.
