Yesterday we turned off the donation pop-up and went back to interruption-free programming. We’d like to thank everyone who donated during our Fall Subscriber Drive. As of this post, 104 people chipped in during this drive, a new record.
As promised, the first $2,000 will go toward paying freelance reporters, and we’re excited to see the articles that come out of that.
Having another successful drive allows us to keep on the path of growing our coverage and our team. We’ve ensured that we can continue to sustain that managing editor position that Natalie has filled so admirably. This in turn frees me up to do more executive director things, like coalition building, advocacy, and organizational development. We’re already seeing the benefit of the extra capacity, and we’d like to keep building on that momentum.
