Population and urbanization will continue to rise rapidly throughout this century, which will undoubtedly have a profound impact on future cities. One filmmaker, Oscar Boyson, wanted to know what our collective urban future might be. Will we be zooming around in automated cars? Tapped into the ether? Or living a utopian Singaporean lifestyle?

Boyson went to YouTube sharing his project to get answers on what the global urban future might hold. In response, hundreds of people in cities spread across the continents fired back with their ideas and what types of innovations their cities are already embracing. With invitations in hand, Boyson set out on a global adventure to capture the humanity, creativity, and resilience of cities packed into this 18-minute film.
