Sunday Video: Oslo’s Journey To A Car-Free City Center

Stephen Fesler - April 16, 2017

Streefilms shares the journey of Oslo transitioning toward a car-free city center by 2019. The goal of the changes is to make walking, biking, and taking transit easier to do while improving quality of life and environmental health. Interventions that Oslo is using include: building wider sidewalks, new cycletracks and bus lanes; creating revamped public spaces; expanding and replacing the city bikeshare system; and removing on-street parking and prohibiting parking in new construction.
