On December 6, the long-awaited Federal Way Link Extension finally opened, bringing two new light rail stations in Kent and a new terminus in Federal Way online. The extension added 7.8 miles to the south end of Sound Transit’s system, and the agency celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, complete with vendors and activities at each of the three new stations.
